Once again I have gotten bit by the bug and moved my personal blog. From now on, you can find my blog over at http://robertnelson.me/blog.
Of course, the site has also has a new template and overall design. Hopefully this will be the last move and change for a while.
The time has come once again, I moved and realized that I have more crap then I need or use. Here are a few items, the first of what will be many items up for auction.
Both items have been listed as three day auctions that begun today (Wednesday) and are priced from $0.99 with no reserve and fair Buy It Now prices. Additionally, they are both in like new condition.

Yesterday I received what I would consider both good news and bad news. I have been accepted (via the Lottery) to run this years NYC Marathon, which is going to take place in November 1.
Congratulations! You have been accepted to run the ING New York City Marathon 2009 on Sunday, November 1. On behalf of New York Road Runners, I welcome you to the 40th running of the world’s greatest marathon. We’re hard at work preparing to give you the experience of a lifetime.
The good news is obvious in that I am finally getting to run the one marathon that I have always wanted to run. The bad news is that I was not expecting to get picked for this year, which means that I now have to shift focus on my training. I have a good base, but have been concentrating on shorter distances lately in preparation for the Clermont Triathlon Series that takes place in June, July and August.
I am sure I will be ready, actually I will make sure I will be ready. Still I was not planning, I really only entered this years lottery pick because I did so last year. Typically, if you enter the lottery three years in a row and do not get chosen then you will get a guaranteed entry, that is more what I was hoping for.
That said, I was picked and I feel lucky. Now I just have to figure out the airfare and hotel, and of course training. If one thing will be going for me is that I like to run in the cold, plus from now until November 1 it will be pretty warm in Florida, which means I will be training in what I consider harder weather conditions — the heat and humidity. Of course, being a Florida runner I am not really prepared in regards to having the proper cold weather gear. Hopefully it will be a slightly warmer day on November 1 because I have never run a complete race with anything other than shorts on my legs.
As many of you know, I love to test myself. I consider myself an endurance athlete, but more specifically I consider myself a triathlete and runner. The past few years, I have been focusing more on running events, mainly building up for ultra-distances. That said, I am currently preparing to complete my first 100 miler. But afterward I am going to switch my focus back to triathlon for a few months. Of course, I am not going to shy away from runs and am looking for another ultra running event for 2010.
Anyway, here is what my 2009 racing schedule looks like, I have 4 confirmed races, 1 almost confirmed, and 3 possibles.
