A good sign I archive and save email more than I should
I was looking through some email for a recent welcome email and came across this oldie but goodie. It is my archived “Welcome to the iTunes Music Store” from way back on May 8, 2003. Now, aside from the fact that I should have and could have deleted this a long time ago, it was kind of funny to re-read.
A few goodies included;
You’re about to experience downloading done right!
There was a time that I truly believed that, however I prefer Amazon MP3 nowadays.
You can listen to the music you buy on up to three Macintosh computers, make unlimited playlists, burn CDs, and transfer your music to iPod.
Yes, there was a time in the beginning that iTunes was for the Mac only, if you remember back so was the iPod. Man that sounds so funny to think about now.
If you would like to find out more about the iPod portable digital music player, visit www.apple.com/iPod to learn how you can take up to 7500 songs you buy and download with you wherever you go.
Again, kind of funny, to begin with that link no longer works, which is strange because /ipod does still redirect, but if you use the capital P it does not. Not to mention, an iPod will now hold up to 30,000 songs, talk about an increase.
And while I am sharing, my first iTunes purchase was for four singles. They included;
- Hulk & Various Artists (Velvet Revolver) - Set Me Free
- Stone Temple Pilots - Revolution
- Shudder To Think featuring Billy Corgan - When I Was Born, I Was Born
- Audioslave - Give
