My 2009 endurance schedule
As many of you know, I love to test myself. I consider myself an endurance athlete, but more specifically I consider myself a triathlete and runner. The past few years, I have been focusing more on running events, mainly building up for ultra-distances. That said, I am currently preparing to complete my first 100 miler. But afterward I am going to switch my focus back to triathlon for a few months. Of course, I am not going to shy away from runs and am looking for another ultra running event for 2010.
Anyway, here is what my 2009 racing schedule looks like, I have 4 confirmed races, 1 almost confirmed, and 3 possibles.
Confirmed:
- Keys 100 - May 16 & 17 - 100 mile ultra-marathon that runs from Key Largo to Key West. And yes, I am running this as an individual, not a team relay.
- Central Florida Triathlon Series (Race #1) - June 20 - .25 mile swim, 8 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Clermont Florida
- Central Florida Triathlon Series (Race #2) - July 11 - .25 mile swim, 8 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Clermont Florida
- Central Florida Triathlon Series (Race #3) - August 15 - .25 mile swim, 8 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Clermont Florida
Almost Confirmed:
- Great Floridian Triathlon - October 24 - 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run - Clermont Florida
Possibles:
- Crystal River Triathlon Series (Race #1) - May 23 - .25 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Crystal River Florida
- Crystal River Triathlon Series (Race #2) - July 4 - .25 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Crystal River Florida
- Crystal River Triathlon Series (Race #2) - September 5 - .25 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Crystal River Florida
